Any body had problems with albino channels? Will cranes get to them? I have -2to 3 pound blue cats, what is the smallest size of channel I should stock so they don `t get eaten? 1 acre pond ,20 blue cats , in the 3 pound range. I want to stock more , any suggestions? Would 6-8" catfish be too small? And what about albino`s???

No problems raising albino channel catfish, but they are highly visible to predators. Stock 8-12" fish, after cormorant migration. Feed the fish and you will have big albinos by fall. They are fun.

I would like opinions on albino channel catfish and their spawns. Will one get more albinos? I am thinking of adding some albinos only, to a pond. Will I eventually end up with grey CCs? Objective is some large "whites" for viewing and limited harvest. Are albinos as good as CCs for table fare?
Any comments or experiences appreciated.
On another note, Texas fish suppliers, I am interested in some same sex crappie. Have not found anyone who will "sex" crappie in my area.

Albinos eat just has good has the regular cc. I stocked both types at the same time. It seems to me the regulars are a bit bigger than the albinos. Perhaps their prey can see the albinos sooner than the dark cc and get away. I do not feed them.
