This may fall under "every pond is different", but if a pond is not cloudy or muddy by clay/sediment particles, and has 18-24in visibilty, and has green color is it "fertile" or in bloom? its probably not that simple?
Get out and fish.

Just an update my water tested,
PH= 7.5
Alk= 120ppm
Hardness= 84ppm
We are looking at like 100 lbs per acre CSM in April and in May, along with 2 gallons of liquid fert per acre in April to ensure the bloom kicks off per my water test results. Then no more CSM after may and just finish the season with liquid fert to keep things going.

Eric you checked water soluble prices lately, is that a 10-52-4? Im buying abotu 15 tons this year. This is about my price. SEPM told me they will go to $60 retail this year for 25 lb bag. Got some water sol (Pro-sol) a week ago from the Co-op for $ 45 a bag and 0-46-0 for $ 18 a bag. Price did go up but not as much as they told you.

Eric it cam e back down just bought my 13 tons yesterday. I will sell for $50/bag and discount to $38 for more than 20 bag orders. Thanks for verfying price.
Chad with that great water quality douby you will haev any trouble getting a bloom.

Greg, yeah they were saying that being that one of the numbers is so high, i believe the ALK. that its sometimes hard to get the bloom to start but once you get it going its does great.

Is it wise to fert a 3.5 acre pond this time of year without any aeration? I have not introduced fish as of yet but getting ready to go with FH and BG. Your thoughts?
