I got these 4" bass from a stocker truck. Could these be Kentucky Spotted Bass ? The mouth appears somewhat smaller than a Largemouth, and the markings are different. [img]  [/img]

Blowing up that shot, it looks to me like the mouth extends behind the eye. If that is the case - LMB.

the ranchpond down stream from my place is full of baby lmb (northerns i believe, definitely not spots), and they exhibit the same strong mottling along the lateral line.
GSF are people too!
