Hey guys, time for annual feeder maintenance.
Old Stren ADF 75 was jammed yesterday. Removed all the AQMX 600 pellets and found small oily feed particles clogging the port. Cleaned and re-filled - worked lke new.

My feeders usually remind me by "not sounding quite right" and if hopper not cleaned will clog. Probably dependes on type of feed - Purina Aquamax is rich in fish oil and clogs if not checked at least annually... Thats my experience FWIW...

Hi George & Jake, Feeder maintenance should be limited to windexing the solar charger, occassionally. That's it. Check out our fish feeders before adding (or replacing) one. We designed and patented our system that avoids maintenance work. Just pour the feed in and enjoy your lake! http://www.TexasHunterProducts.com/difife1.htmlTexas Hunter Products Call (800) 969-3337 for a free 20-page catalog.

THP - I DO have a Texas Hunter feeder and I love it, but I don't intend to neglect it as any other piece of equipment. I also have three other feeders that have served me well, but my oldest is due for an overhaul, as yours may after 6 years of use. My Texas Hunter is a 1 year old jewel - check back with me in about 5 years. When will you have a modificationn to handle the new Purina largemouth bass nuggets?
