I've been using a rake and a pond net to remove duckweed for composting. It's labor intensive and hard on the back.
I was thinking about other ways to do it--I've seen the rope idea but thought a pump might work, pumping the water into a series of screens and letting the water drain back into the pond.
Has anyone tried pumping duckweed laden water through a screen?
Any other mechanical duckweed removal ideas?
