Glad to finally get on here and check things out. Got a chance to meet Bob this past January at a conferrence and really enjoyed learning about Pond Boss. I have worked in the aquatics industry for almost 20 years. From the big herbicide companies to small ecological restoration companies I've done just about everything. This time of year we are working 7 days a week in the field so will do my best to help contribute to the forum.

Thanks
Ed Spanopoulos.

Welcome Ed!

I have to chuckle at your last name but in a fun way and no disrespect meant.

Why?

My wife is from your area of Indiana and when she mentions her neighbors names, not only can I not pronounce them but am amazed at the wide variation of ethnic names. The inside joke is, "Julie don't you have any Smiths, Jones, or Browns over there? The answer is, "I don't recall anyone by those names in the region."

My wife is of Slovach descent btw. I'm guessing your last name is Greek?

The closer you get to Chicago the more normal it gets. Apparently when my grandpa came over from Greece he worked at the steel mills so didn't care about cutting the name down to sound more normal. Not many desk jobs where he was at.

Ed nothing wrong with that name and not cutting it down. Lots of names were shortened and butchered at Ellis Island, which I think is a shame.
