Pond

We have a horizontal circulator that pushes water around the island at about 2 mph. Depth around the island is 3-4 ft. If I put some pea gravel around the island would bluegill spawn around the island?

Welcome to the forum Yak!!

I don't think a slow, lazy river speed current like yours will slow any BG spawn at all. REALLY sweet looking pond too!!!

I agree,

with my fairly small samples size of spawning bream in an aquarium, there are some currents caused by my air stones and it doesnt seem to affect them at all. If anything I would think it helps aerate the larva and will help with access to zooplankton in the early fry stages.

Welcome to Pond Boss Yak n Bass... Beautiful pond! Those "gills" will spawn where-ever they want to.

Agree. The BG don't need gravel to spawn.
