Bring back some new lederhausen for Burger, too. Perhaps something with a nautical theme embroidered along the top.

The only German my Dad remembers from the Army: "Ein bier, bitte!"

Anna,
Hope you are having a good time.

Theo,
If he was like me, it is because we said it so many times.

What size? We are going to Potsdam this morning. It is in a region southwest of Berlin call the Havel or Havelland. It's a river and lake region. The fishing village of Werder is only 5k away. I'm sure I can find something with a nautical theme.

Havel

Ooooooh.

Anna, posting that photo of a frosty German beer is cruel and unusual punishment. In order to make amends you now must post a photo of a beverage from every place in which you visit.

Dad says he used to shoot rabbits with an M1 Carbine while on guard duty. Within 5 minutes of the shot, a German would show up on a bicycle with a covered basket, take a beer out of the basket, trade it for the rabbit, then peddle off again.

A rabbit for one beer. Dang that price seems a little steep. What would it take to get a six pack, a bear? Does Germany have any bears? What's all this talk about bears?

You shouldn't be using a straw with either a beer or a bear.

Where did this thread go wrong?

Such an innocent jesture as a lady blowing the froth off in her home country.
We're sorry Mrs. Muldoon, wherever you are? Aren't we guys!
