I'm looking to move out of the Northern Virginia area within a year and and going to buy my first house. I REALLY want a home with some land and a pond (at least 2 Acres) or at the least has to be pond building friendly. It also has to be relatively close to a major metropolitan area (I'm a computer guy)

Does anyone know of any sites that specialize in land with ponds? I would even consider buying the land first then building a house on it. I'm open to move to just about anywhere in the Country :0

I could use a commuting partner. I commute from Hampshire County, WV to Chantilly, VA, near Dulles Airport. It's a mere 75 miles one way -- this was not my plan when we made the move. I'm about 20 miles west of Winchester.

This website has current MLS listings for VA, MD, and WV.

Lots of the land doesn't perk, so it makes good ponds. We also seem get a lot more consistent precipitation in the mountains west of I-81, than those east of I-81. My pond has only been below the standpipe for about a total of 4 weeks in the past two years.
