If so....share your thoughts

Here is mine

Plotted with a helix 5 g2 sonar/gps via my row boat - took about 2hrs rowing a grid pattern over the entire pond, screenshotted the map from the head unit and saved to a microsd card then cleaned up the shoreline cutoff with a photo editor.

It isn't 100% accurate but it is very close.

It is interesting to see how silted in the top and bottom boundaries are! My pond is 50 years old, was over 20' deep when constructed and had a creek channel running down the middle. The channel is mostly silted in, the dam face is extremely silted in and the top end is where sediments drop out from the feeder creek which is also the outlet creek of an upstream pond.

Just thought I would share!
That's very interesting. How many acres is your pond?
Just a tad under 1 and a quarter
Love the concept!
I would love to have mine mapped out like that, because it is really irregular on the bottom, dont know if Ill ever get it done, or even figure out how. about 15 Acres, it might take a while but it would be worth it.
With a motorized boat or even a decent kayak it wouldn't take that long - my row boat is slow lol you can map upto 4mph according to Humminbird, slower and more interlacing passes = better detail and accuracy

It would be a huge advantage when determining a location to drop cover into the pond
There is a thread on the Forum on this topic (somewhere). I know others have done this with good results.
I too would like to do this.......
