Hello, i was just curious what everyones personal best records were and the size of the pond it came out of.
8.7 Lbs out of a 1.6 acre pond max depth 10 ft.
2 minutes and 40 seconds - 0.9 acre.
lmb i guess... or the fish that just made you feel like a proud papa
I'll play Theo's game:
6 LMB hooked (5 landed) in 5 straight casts.
Four straight casts = 4 different fish (lmb, bg, gsf, crappie)
using the same bait ( red rooster tail)..
From a large pond on the West Coast, I don't know how many acres.
110# Bluefin Tuna.
12 lbs 14 oz Channel Cat from approx a 2 acre pond. Caught 3 days ago by my son. Here is a pic of it.

Love the pic, toolman. Tell your son good job!
This is the best time of year to catch the big cats. Nice fat channel cat!
Yowza! That's a big channel cat! What did you catch it on? He looks pretty proud holding it up. Congrats.
sounds like a proud pop, as it should be. Good job, lil guy.
How in the world did such a little boy land such a big fish????
Did you eat it or put him back? Very cool.
Nice Catfish.
7 LMB in under 7 minutes. I caught all of them on the same brush pile in consecutive casts. it was pretty fun although they were all 11in or under So they all ended up in the cooler. That was the first year that I started harvesting LMB from the pond.
as far as size goes 8lb CC.
I'll play Theo's game:
6 LMB hooked (5 landed) in 5 straight casts.
11 LMB hooked and 11 landed in 11 straight casts.
77 LMB in 4.5 hours.
Wow shorty. That's some rapid fire fishing. Sounds like a lot of fun.
