The place where I have been thinking about putting a pond is a low section in the back of my property. Its in the middle of a wood lot and there is a seasonal creek that starts in this area. Right now there are 4-5 little ponds (50' diameter) already there.
What are some of the implications of putting a pond there? I think there are springs that seep all year round.
Also I mentiond that this is in a woodlot. What is a good rule of thumb for cutting trees back from the edge of the pond so that it feels good, looks good, and isn't too buggy.
Thanks for any help/Doug
