The school systems farther north will find this funny but for some reason we build in 11 snow days to our school calendar. Basically this far south if there is any snow or ice on the roads at all we're out. Snow and ice are not very consistent year to year down here. Some years we'll get 4 or 5 storms and use all our days, many years we only get a little winter weather and just use a couple days. If we don't get much snow the days go unused. It's like having two weeks paid vacation just sitting there that you can't use. I think the teachers and administrators are worse than the kids about wishing for snow. \:D
