I went bluegill fishing using worms and caught what I believe is a golden shiner. I didn't purposefully put any of them in there. It may have been about 5 inches long and after now seeing it, I think I was seeing a small school of them late last summer while I was feeding. They never would come close to the dock so I never get a good look at them.

I hope they are beneficial and don't become invasive. I have grass carp, bluegill, largemouth bass, channel cats, black crappie, fathead minnows and red ear. (at least that's what I stocked last year.) I don't think any of my fish, except for the channel cats, are large enough yet to eat the size of the minnow I caught.
