I pride myself in respecting the science of meteorology, and the up and downs that may occur. I got the pump running as the sky turned black. I raced back to the house, opened all the shop and garage doors, and bent a wiper, rear window, on my wife's suv. 1.6" deluge in 20 minutes. I'll roll down one of her windows when she gets back.

EDIT: We're at 2.25", and water's running out of the hatchery pond overflow pipe. 8-10" rise, and the pump's now off.
