I burned a brush pile here when it was about 102, because it was too hot to do anything else productive. It burned so hot with an 8 MPH wind that I got nervous, and I don't usually get nervous unless we are burning grass.

I think my new burn plan for brush piles is to only burn them when I see a big line of rainstorms on the radar about an hour away! Otherwise, I keep imagining a wind gust blowing an ember across the entire fire break, regardless of how much water I put on the pile.
