Didn't feel any panic until I climbed back up on bank and sat down.. then it hit me how bad that could have been.

WOW! Glad that you are OK. I am really leery of driving things on slopes, and carrying anything in a bucket on the tractor if the ground is uneven. Had a guy moving a bundle of concrete mesh with a forklift and the same thing happened, it tipped over, he didn't keep his feet inside, the leg that he stuck out to try and stabilize the mess got folded under the forklift. Had to take another lift to get him out - compound fracture.
