Made more effort at thinning the heard and managing the population in my 1/10th acre sediment pond. Caught probably 75 fish. Hybrids big enough to eat went into the holding cage. CNBG either went into the main pond or back in this sediment pond. Half a dozen RES went into main pond. Bunch of small hybrids and a few GSF got tails, one pectoral fin and the dorsal fin cut off with scissors and put in main pond for LMB.CC prey. LOTS of hybrids in this pond.

I kind of like just standing there and jerking out fish after fish with a fish on 3 out of 4 casts. Most "casts" were actually just flipping out the line a few feet from the bank without even opening up the bail on the reel. Might as well been using a cane pole. 1/64 oz jig hook with a Gulp green waxie for bait. They were definitely biting. Barb mashed for easy removal although it does cause me to lose one once in a while. Ever once in a while catch a SMB or something bigger. Only fished a short while.

I much prefer "catching" over fishing.
