Frank, you mentioned the bushy pondweed being a nuisance, I couldn't agree more! It is a pretty invasive plant at my pond. And I am not a fan of the plant even though I can see where a small amount of it might be beneficial but from my experience with it there is no way you can have a small amount of it. Another thing I have noticed is for some reason this year it seems to have become a problem in many ponds. I have not noticed many comments on it here till this year. I plan of spot treating but have been holding off till I found and repaired my leak in the aeration system. I found the leak yesterday afternoon. As a side note. When I discussed treating the BPW with Todd Overton, he told me that if I were to treat a larger sized area like a qtr of the pond, I could still kill off fish and he did not think the bottom diffusers would help in that situation. But I am thinking the aeration is better than not having it when it comes to spot treating. I have been talking with Al for designing a spay system to use when treating of killing off the BPW. He has been very helpful. Warm water temps and treating BPW can kill off the fish. That sucks because the stuff is so invasive.
