snrub. just wondering if you see any size difference between your cnbg and your native bg? If you were to take your largest cnbg verses your largest native bg is there much difference? As I understand it. the cnbg grow to a larger size over our native bg down here in NE TX.

I am at the lake house located on Caddo Lake where it is well known for its bg fishing. When fishing for our native bg here I would say that I usually keep the ones that seem to be topped out at or around 7" or maybe 8" for eating. I've not caught a single one that compares to the size of cnbg I have in the pond. But if I was to take some of those natives (transfer to the pond) and feed them like the cnbg get fed, how big can I get them? I also wonder what size I might get if they were to breed with each other? Maybe someday if I ever get my forage pond going then I can take a better look at the native bg and their growth when feed high protein feed every day.
