I have a question for anyone who has a pond in the ice and snow country. My pond will stay iced over longer than most as it is in a lot of shade from Spruce Trees (40-50'). With our temps staying in the mid 30s and up into the 50 during the day would it be advisable to to start the aeration to help clear the ice and get a start on fighting the FA. I should mention I have FA all winter, green and smiling through the ice.. Once the edges of the pond clear a bit, there it is growing! So what are the thoughts out there about aeration at 44 degrees water temp? thanks! I really enjoy the help and comments all of you share!
