We burnt the dam off last week, and it has become an annual task. Since the dam is on the south end of the pond, we always wait for a southerly wind before we do it. We burn off each end of the dam(which is about 1,100 feet) for about 10', and then let her rip. One might be amazed at the number on burning crap that rides the wind out 20'-30' into the pond.
