Dr. Dave Willis also noted that in BOW's that experience draw downs that have both LMB and SMB populations, if the draw downs occur during LMB spawning time that the SMB will out compete the LMB. The SMB seem to be able to handle fluctuating water levels better than LMB when it comes to reproduction.
