Hopefully those brookies will live long enough to make it to 3 pounds for you! Your submerged vegetation is very likely Chara but it could be Nitella depending on your water chemistry. Most of the snails are rams-horn snail, probably the common Helisoma anceps with the occasional pond snail called Physella (Physa). The Chara is allowing the scuds to thrive.
