I have both plastic and wood. As far as plastic designs, go for it, be like an artist, DeVenche lol. I have used most everything I could find laying around and have bought a few plastic things also, like pvc, rolled tubbing etc. Old deer feeders barrels, garden hose, potted plant containers just to mention a few. Have fun with it. My son says we have too much
