I’ve got a 10 acre pond in SE Nebraska that holds lots of fish. It has LM bass, Bluegill and Channel Catfish. The pond is slightly overpopulated with bass, and I’m in year 2 of culling 200 bass (14” and smaller, yearly), and seeing good results. The Bluegill population is very abundant and most catches are 6-9”. My question: Do you think it’d be wise to add some hybrid BG to the pond. I’ve caught some 10” BG here, and would like to catch more huge Bluegill with the fly rod.
Any insight is appreciated.
