Spent the afternoon at the pond in amazement at how fast sago pond weed shows up. Had a pretty significant FA bloom last week, was a bit concerned but zooplankton must have come on strong because water looked beautiful today, in fact, I could see a moss-rock structure I built when building the pond last year-looked like I was looking through clear glass at it.. then I noticed the fish. For the first time in a year conditions are such that I could see a group of 10, maybe 12 or more SMB that have been absent from the creel so far-just sunning. Don't know what it was but seeing that completed another phase of what felt today like accomplishment. Maybe the first time since building the pond that I've felt like "things are working as planned". Good day at the pond.. I have to wonder if this is what everybody feels after all the hard work involved in this venture :-)
