From what I can tell in my area, what some may call riprap may also be referred to as: 1. Erosion Stone. 2. 6 by 9. Where the size range of the stones is anywhere from 6" to 9" generally.
If you visit a quarry though and tell them what you are intending to use it for they should be able to easily provide you with their nomenclature.
