I guess it's all relative to where you're used to. I can see how Kansas would look like a different planet the first time through. I've lived around Missouri all my life and I can tell you that the I-70 corridor is as plain as it gets. If you want an extremely more scenic route...take any crisscross series of state highways through the southern half of the state. So long as you don't get car sick, that is.
