I do plan on pellet feeding the fish. I would love to do SMB, however I'm not confident of how they would do. I haven't measured the depth yet but I'm guessing its probably only around 6 ft deep and afraid that won't be sufficient. It is however on a wooded north-facing slope so hopefully that will keep it from getting too hot in the heat of summer. My thought is the perch may or may not make it, but at least I'd still have a good LMB/ BG pond. My objective is to have a variety of species and growing them to healthy relative weights. I don't plan on eating many of the fish but realize I'll probably have to cull bass to keep things balanced. If you think SMB would work in this pond, how would RES do in with YP and SMB?
