Wildlife control is sometimes needed. I have a beaver in my pond that is wrecking havoc on trees and relentlessly damming my drain pipe. Have had a neighbor trying to trap him out for weeks, but he's a smart one (the beaver...). I follow the rules and only take animals allowed by state and federal laws during the permitted times, and I do enjoy deer hunting. However, when some activist groups tie up the wildlife biologists in lengthy and costly court cases like is happening in some wolf-reintroduction areas, I feel the laws need to be changed to let the wildlife biologists do the jobs they are trained to do without interference from ignorant do-gooders. Bad conservation legislation can turn some conservationists against government environmental control which can be very bad. Without hunting regulations, I would not have deer to hunt and could not enjoy seeing eagles and bobcats on my property.
