Hello ewest, I'm actually fine on both counts.. was wondering if this could be used to mix with some quarter size limestone to use to cover some areas for better smb spawning habitat? Actually wondering if Ca could "be" too high. It's extremely cheap, accessible and I can haul about 25 ton a load. Would it be best to utilize something else gravel-wise??
Edit: I re-read this post, and although I've been involved in fisheries management for many years, with this being my first pond I've built for my personal use, I never realized how we accept a body of water as-is and just manage the fish..I feel like that's the easy part and the "pond" itself is showing me how little I really know about "pond" management...wow..
