Finally, had a snowy egret a while back too. I got some pics but was pretty far away since I didn't think it'd stick around. It went to the other side of the pond while I put the inflatable boat in the water to do some maintenance but I was able to get within 10'-15' a couple of times before it got tired of the intrusion and left.
It's important to drive these birds off before you run an errand. We should always leave with no egrets!
