Since the rain is going to be nonstop for a few days and the pond is likely to rise 5+ feet and overflow I went out and pulled the larger weeds which were beginning to be submerged. A royal PITA to hand pull but no real other choice as the water already came up a few feet and has 2 more to go to reach normal level.

Water is literally pouring in on the side with the the drain tile for the fields along with the other field runoff we get through the yard. I'm guessing we're getting 60-80 GPM if not more and since the ground is saturated I expect to have a the other 2 feet filled before evening.

On the plus side, when the pond overflows into the yard it pushes most of the loose material onto the grass and leaves it there.
