Since I have finally brought my little pond king paddle wheel boat to its new home, I took the opportunity to get out in the middle this morning and get a more accurate depth reading.

Looks like my dirt guy underestimated the depth. All this time I was going by his info that the pond was 12 foot deep, but it's only 10.5, which also reduces my average depth to about 8 feet. Luckily it's at full pool so it's an accurate reading.

Unfortunately, I've lost a quarter acre foot of water instantly. But the brighter side is now I know exactly how deep my diffuser will be and what kind of psi I'll truly need to get optimum output. Gonna really have to keep an eye on my biomass since that capacity has now been reduced as well.

.10 surface acre pond, 10.5 foot deep. SW LA. The epitome of a mutt pond. BG, LMB, GSF, RES, BH, Warmouth, Longear Sunfish, Gambusia,Mud Minnows, Crappie, and now shiners!!...I subscribe!!
