Tracy, dlowrance pretty well nailed it. I love it, and it's a preferred plant here, but we fish out of a boat most of the time.

It can get leggy if the water level remains consistent, but it's extremely easy to control, and if we want to remove it in a problem area, I usually just rake a patch up on the bank, wait a couple of days, then throw it in the compost pile. We rarely treat it, but if we do, a glyphosate works well.

You need to come up here and get some hybrid lilies. They provide shade, spread slowly but consistently, and reload with LMB almost as fast as you can catch them.
