Ive been watching this BG tending a nest on and off for a while and I hate to admit it, but curiousity just got the better of me. I rigged a small piece of gulp worm on a lite wire hook, no weigh, no bobber and used my crappie rod to swing about 10 feet of line out. After about three tries to get it to fall in the nest he finally bit. I've personally stocked maybe 25 BG from 3-5" maybe two months ago. The biggest being a nice looking male. If this is that same fish, he's done very well for himself, being every bit of 7". If he is one of my miracle fish, I'm wondering now how many others are in there with him. Haven't seen anything like him while feeding, tho. He was a bit thin, but I attribute that to him being on the bed. Put him right back.
