I carry a 22 long rifle pistol when I have a snake or gator that needs tending to. If it's a snake or rustler, I use rat shot. If it's a gator....hollow point!! Luckily I haven't had any poisoness snakes so far, but ain't nothing eating my fish that ain't gonna feed me! Turtles don't eat enough fish to really matter, but I ain't beyond giving them an invite for dinner if they get big enough to mess with.
Gator on the other hand...yum. And if he's inside my fense, he's just become a threat to my 4 legged kids.
