This morning I transplanted about a ton of northern Ark river stone around the spawning area of my pond. Some of these suckers were close to 50 lb stones. Unfortunately, a couple of them decided they wanted to be deeper than I planned and took a walk right off the ledge and didn't stop till they were out in the middle.

Then I soaked a couple of traps and caught some pretty little shellcrackers to add to my mix of mutts.

Fed again this afternoon and am seeing loads of fry of one sort or another. I've got FHM, GSF and BG all spawning now. Fry ranging from 1/4" to 1 1/2". Too small to identify species, but it's good to see them.

.10 surface acre pond, 10.5 foot deep. SW LA. The epitome of a mutt pond. BG, LMB, GSF, RES, BH, Warmouth, Longear Sunfish, Gambusia,Mud Minnows, Crappie, and now shiners!!...I subscribe!!
