DrLuke, I had typed "If IA allows tilapia", and deleted it. I sure thought y'all could have them. The thing is, I can't follow their logic in not allowing tilapia in Iowa. While I DO acknowledge the risk of introducing non native species into the environment, and the list is long, from everything I've read about tilapia they won't be able to tolerate the winter up here. Even if it's 'really mild', northern BOW will freeze over at some point each winter, even for just a little while. Combine that with the fact that several of our neighbor states do allow tilapia, and you have me stumped. But that's been done before..
