It's tough for yellow perch to survive in a pond where largemouth are present. +1 on that as well. If you have lots of good cover like 50% your chances are good at having lots of them. The key is to fish for them just at dusk and get right on the bottom with a worm. For us here mid may we can't keep them off the hook. After their spawn they feed like wolves.
