When I make big pile of branches the mice go inside to make their nests, so last year I took 2 while they passed between my legs when I put fire.
To take them alive there must be trap on the net, I will try the minnow trap, it must be done.
Because only perch are in this pond.
Oh yes mine are surface feeder.
Yes I saw a splash, imagine with the Smallmouth bass
