I own a Tikka T3 in 30-06. It is easily the most accurate rifle I own. You're right on adding the limbsaver recoil pad. Another thing I would recommend if you go with a Tikka is buying Warne permanent rings. They make them specifically for the Sako/Tikka dovetail on top of the receiver. They're a little pricey ($60) but they give the rifle a cleaner look than attaching a weaver rail and then rings to the rail. As for accuracy, I've shot three shot groups with that gun that can be completely covered with a penny. I don't reload for 30-06 and am only shooting Hornady American whitetail 150 grain ammunition.
