RAH I have an older 270 Vangard(60s or 70s). It shoots OK. Probably 1.25-1.5 MOA. Probably the worst of all my guns, but I have killed more deer with it than any gun I own. My son has a 270 Ruger 77 skeleton stock, that stock touches the barrel all the way down the stock. In theory it should shoot terrible, but shoots .5 MOA.
I think the 270 is the best round for speed/bullet weight/recoil there is. MOst animals I have shot with the 270 never take another step.
