I bought the boxes on Amazon. Woodlink cedar duck house. Great quality. Includes wood shavings. Until I get my house built I am shopless and darn near toolless.

Texas Parks and Wildlife recommends the slick pvc pole. They claim chicken snakes can navigate around the cones.
