Consider a 10 or 20 round magazine. You will not shoot 30 rounds through that barrel in any one event. The shorter magazine will give him a better hold.
For hogs, using a 223, I really like 77grains if the twist of the barrel will support them.
HF I did purchase a 10 round mag for sure!! We cant deer hunt here with the 30 anyway they won't let us. Max you can have is 10. Thanks for the tip though.
