Red accent on the eartab is fairly common on HBG. And the curiously shapen examples you posted do occur from time to time also.

Having said that, I am a little concerned about the overall appearance of the HBG. They almost appear stunted, or maybe an Fx generation rather than an F1. Perhaps they were holdovers from last year, or maybe I'm seeing something that isn't there, it's hard to say.
