I'm with ewest on the fish in the second photo, it shows both male and female characteristics.
The pinkish hue on some bluegills is sometimes referred to as grapefruit coloration by those who obsess over all things lepomid. Not that I know, and/or socialize with anyone who fits that description.
The pinkish hue is kinda neat to me. Kinda like rainbow Sunfish
