I think there is another thread right now talking about northern versus southern strains of yellow perch. I've only had them a few years myself and sure am no expert but I'm sure one will come along soon. How well they do will vary from one BOW to another. In a small pond, I don't think they survive well long term with LMB because of their fusiform shape making them easy for LMB to swallow. Mine seem to do okay with BG and SMB. I don't think they are real strong swimmers like many predators. Good luck.
