Decided to start a new thread about my ~1.5 acre pond. The dam broke during a 3 day crazy rain event a little over a year ago. My heart was broken so I took a break from my pond fix. About 7 days ago the dam was fixed with a larger drain pipe and a much larger emergency spill way. We also lowered the pipe 2' to allow a little more buffer before we get to the spillway. When the dam broke originally almost all the water escaped. Only about a 10th of an acre was left, but the water is still probably 10-15 foot deep. Here is a picture of the remnant.

So last weekend I fished the hole and caught what I am almost positive are 6-7" golden shiners.

I was fishing with a worm and bobber. No other species was caught. Originally it was stocked with FHM, RES, BG, HSB, and CC. What are your thoughts? I am thinking I will just stock FHM again this summer and hopefully get a few spawns. I was going to maybe add some CC and RES in the spring and then add HSB and BG the following year. The spring after that I was planning to put in some LMB.

Pond is in Central Illinois and we feed regularly.

Thanks all and its good to be back.
